Statistical analysis of the passage of fronts over the Moscow region

Cyclonic formations of temperate latitudes and the atmospheric fronts associated with them are the most important synoptic objects that determine weather conditions over vast areas of the globe. The evolution of frontal sections largely determines the occurrence of meteorological phenomena that must be predicted when servicing aviation. In this paper, a statistical analysis of the passage of different types of fronts over the Moscow region is performed.

The experimental studies were carried out within the framework of the state assignment of the Sadovsky Institute of Geosphere Dynamics of Russian Academy of Sciences "Transformation of Geophysical Fields as the Main Factor of Intergeospheric Interactions" (No. 125012700798-8), the interpretation of the results was carried out within the framework of the state assignment of the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
