The theme of this year’s traditional annual conference is determined by the incorporation of provisions on early support for children and their families into the Federal Law of the Russian Federation, as well as by the commemoration of twenty-five years of scientific, educational, and applied activity in the field of mental health and early childhood development, conducted by the Department of Psychology at St. Petersburg State University.
The conference will be devoted to the discussion of current issues related to the mental health and development of infants and young children, with regard to the individual characteristics of the child, within the context of interactions and relationships with parents, the family system, society, and culture. A wide range of scientific, educational, and applied questions pertaining to interdisciplinary early intervention for children and their families will be addressed, including its theoretical, methodological, regulatory, organizational, personnel-related, ethical, and clinical aspects.
Additionally, the conference will present and discuss scientific achievements across various branches of psychology and clinical psychology, contributing to the understanding of the patterns of human development and psychological functioning within the family in a changing world, and aimed at enhancing the well-being of present and future generations.
