The Sephardic community is the only Romance-speaking religious community that has preserved the recording of Romance speech in Hebrew script. The invaluable nature of Semitic allographic monuments in Romance languages of the first type, the appearance of which is directly due to religious reasons, is that they are evidence of a successful attempt to combine in a written monument as a cultural embodiment of human thought the highest moral and intellectual aspiration of a person towards what is Holy for him (the God), and the deep perception of a foreign culture and language as his own.
